To
those of us who have spent time doing Decoupage, the dictionary
definition does very little justice to the Art of decoupage. The search for that particular image, the pains that go into preparing the base that we are to apply our design to, through to the last finishing touches. Decoupage is more a passion, all consuming at times, to produce a finished Art piece as individual in it's finished form as any you will see in any Gallery. |

Often
bedridden during his last years, Henri Matisse occupied himself
with decoupage, creating works of brilliantly colored paper cutouts arranged
casually, but with an unfailing eye for design, on a canvas surface.
